Victor is Barbados' first freeskier, with the ambition of being the first Barbadian Winter Olympian. Victor's personality shines as brightly as his freeskiing talent, and despite having grown up in Sweden, he gives off the laid-back island vibe.
I get inspired through various channels and human beings. Podcasts, youtubers, skiers, athletes and various businessmen could all be a source of inspiration to me. We are in a special time in Barbadian history where talents are immersing all over the place, as we have top tennis players, DJâs, models, artists and now a winter sport athlete. To be amongst that group of people inspires me to keep on pushing for greatness.
Apart from making my dad and uncle proud, I have a very supportive family behind me as well as the whole Island of Barbados. The support I receive is overwhelming and definitely helps me overcome barriers when things get though. A solid foundation combined with the right mindset and dedication will make your wildest dreams come through.
1. Win an Olympic Gold medal, which would be the first one in Barbadian history. A great honour for my country and a tribute to my loved ones that has passed away.
2. Grow my social media channels to be able to inspire others to pursue their dreams!
3. Fly in a private jet. I have been obsessed with airplanes ever since I was a kid. This is one of my hidden passions not too many people know about me.
As you get older your influences constantly changes in various areas. As a kid, in skiing, Tanner Hall was my biggest influence and idol, one of the pioneers of the sport. Today, itâs Ryan Stevenson, a kid 3 years younger than me ripping it out of New Jersey, USA. On the other side of the coin we have Lewis Hamilton who has made a great impact on my life, being the first black person to conquer the F1 circus. I am in the same boat but in a different sport aiming to reach great heights, just like Lewis did in F1.
I am a very good people reader.
